Tell me about the applications?

The Office On Demand solutions are market-leading applications that have been created primarily through open-source development initiatives. Office On Demand engineers rigorously test the individual applications to make sure they'll fit the needs of our customer base and once an application passes our testing process, our engineering team integrates it with the other solutions we offer. This integration provides our users with a broad array of solutions yet also enables them to interact through a consistent and intuitive user interface.

How secure is my business information?

The Office On Demand applications are hosted at Tier-one hosting facilities in the U.S.. Access to the building is only possible through biometric testing and is granted to only qualified Office On Demand employees Ð impossible to counterfeit. As a tier one facility, the building has cryogenic fire retardant systems, completely redundant wiring, and fail-safe backup power generation to ensure that your information and the solutions you count on are always available when you need them. Your Office On Demand information and access to these solutions is much more protected than if you were to manage it yourself.

How can these solutions be available to me and my employees from any computer?

As long as you have an Internet connection, you have access to your Office On Demand. Office On Demand solutions do not require that you install any plugins or download any software to access the features to which you've subscribed. Simply connect to the Internet and treat your Office On Demand solutions as you would any other online destination. It doesn't matter if you have one computer at your office and a shared family computer at home, either one can be used to access you information and use your solutions.

What credit card security protections are in place?

For credit card transactions and processing, we partner with one of the largest payment processors in the world. Office On Demand keeps no credit card numbers or codes on any of our computers. All transactions are sent via 128-bit encryption to our processing partner where the transaction actually occurs nd where the information is managed according to very strict security standards.

How can we offer the free service?

Customers who chose the free service have a few less capabilities and services than those who upgrade to the premium version; however, this is often more than enough for certain small businesses. Office On Demand is able to offer these services for free because our costs are low. These solutions are based on open source development efforts and as a result are either free or available to us at a minimal cost. Further, customers that sign up for the free service are displayed a banner ad(s) in their user interface. We sell these ad spaces only to vendors whose products and services are relevant to our small business customers.

How can I manage my account without an IT person?

Most small businesses do not have a dedicated IT person. It is this fact that often keeps owners and managers from discovering and using many of the new tools that can help them grow their business. We designed the control features (this is where you set up the account, add users, and select your solutions) to be intuitive and useable for regular people, not IT professionals. You'll be able to configure your account and have your employees up and running on the Office On Demand solutions in as little as five minutes. Plus, if you ever have questions, just give us a call. We have a fully trained customer support staff on site to help answer any questions you may have.

If I choose to cancel, how do I get my information?

If you decide that you would like to cancel your account you may simply download all of your saved information and data from the system through the application you regularly use. Just save these files to your local hard drive or other storage device. Alternatively, in certain situations where that is not feasible, we can export the information to you. Regardless, there is no technology or data lock-in with Office On Demand, we want you to stay with the service but we don't want you to feel trapped.

Why just focus on small business?

As technology and small business veterans, we know that the needs of a small business and the needs of a large business are different and we believe that small business owners are underserved by today's vendors. At Office On Demand we cater only to the needs and requirements of small business and eliminate the influence of medium and large businesses. By doing so, we believe we can build a suite of solutions that deliver great value to our customers and prospects. For us it is entirely about helping small businesses grow and succeed.

Can I customize the applications?

There are some things within the solutions that can be customized like logos and color schemes so that the application can match the look and feel of your business. Additionally, some features and functions can be configured uniquely to meet the specific needs of your small business.

However, since these are hosted solutions we are not to do code modifications for individual customers - these changes would impact all other customers. You'll find that these applications have been designed with a tremendous amount of forethought and feedback from other small businesses and so we believe they will be quite valuable to your business and code customizations are not necessary.
